When it comes to bathroom decorations, most people get the basics. They know which accessories the bathroom needs such as soap dishes, towel racks, etc. But that doesn't mean that people always get the best of these items for the bathroom they're using. Let's take a look at towel bars. In your master bathroom a single bar may be plenty. Generally 1-2 people use the master bathroom. So, a single bar can hold one or two towels, just enough for the use of this once. But, is a single bar at the wisest thing for the spare bathroom? Just as the name implies a double bar has two bars on it, which hold the towels. Yet, generally this is still a one-piece unit that can be attached to a wall in your home. The double bar can be a godsend to the guest bathroom. It doesn't take up much more space than a single bar, usually the bars are only spaced 6-8 inches above or below one another, but it doubles up the number of towels you can hang. Since the guest bathroom usually has a lot of people going in and out of it, this can keep you from having to run back into the bathroom every 10 minutes and add more towels for those extra guests.

There are a couple of ways you can go when purchasing a double tall bar. The first is to literally purchase two towel bars. Depending on how you want to decorate your bathroom this may work for you. You could put them side-by-side if you prefer or stack them one on top of the other.
The other option is to purchase a preset double bar. As mentioned earlier, these are generally stacked one on top of the other. Not only do these take up less space, but also quite often they're very decorative pieces. Many manufacturers have a little fun at connecting the two bars to one another. You may find a number of swirls or flair that is used to make it look like as much of a piece of art as a way to hang some extra towels in the bathroom.
One thing to keep in mind when you're going to hang a double towel bar in your bathroom is that this is going to need some extra support. Remember not only is the bar heavier but you're also doubling up on the amount of things that are going to be hanging up. Add to this the fact that it's probably going to be used more than any other towel bar the house and you want to make sure that it's placed In a sturdy place in your home. Therefore, when hanging the double bar make sure to look for studs in the wall that you can attach it to and give it plenty of extra support.
